I’m just getting started! 26y/o Baton Rouge MUA turned baker! After having my first child it was very hard trying to juggle being at first time parent and work. Taking makeup clients just got harder and harder for me and it is very i. One thing for sure having a baby is exciting and fun but I fell into postpartum depression. Back in November of 2022 my mom challenged me to make my sons half birthday cake. So, I did, and it was a hot mess, but I think I did pretty well for it being my first try. I would make a cake every month for practice and found that I actually enjoy doing it! My mom was very confident that I would do very well in making cakes, so she purchased a cake class with The Sweet Hustle. Since then I’ve been making cakes after cakes! Now 2 years later and another baby boy; Cake Bakes has made a way for me to provide for me and my sons all while I still get to be creative. I’ve always loved art and would express that through makeup but now I have found a new love of art through my cakes!
